How does the product generate more light when the wattage is standard and are they safe to use on plastic lenses?

Philips invest thousands of Euros in research and development each year. To achieve greater light output they have refined the design of the lamp and also used a xenon/halogen gas mix. This enables the lamp to deliver greater levels of light output without increasing the wattage, so no extra heat is generated, meaning the bulb is safe to use with modern plastic lenses and is also fully road legal.

A "longer lasting" blue light

Any car driver would prefer to have daylight 24 hours a day. Daylight gives the best visibility. That is why Philips developed BlueVision ultra lamps. BlueVision lamps are car lamps with a blue coating. This blue coating creates a daylight type of light (closer to Xenon).
