Product history:

Xtreme Vision is built on the foundations of its predecessor, X-treme Power, which was a best selling, multi award winning product between 2007 and 2010. The product earned a reputation for quality, performance and durability, something which Extreme Vision has built on, but delivers even more light output (100% more compared to the 80% more of X-treme Power).

Are they legal to use and do I need to modify my vehicle?

The product is fully road legal and directly interchangeable with your existing bulbs, so there’s no need to modify your vehicle, just replace the lamps.

How does the product generate more light when the wattage is standard and are they safe to use on plastic lenses?

Philips invest thousands of Euros in research and development each year. To achieve greater light output they have refined the design of the lamp and also used a xenon/halogen gas mix. This enables the lamp to deliver greater levels of light output without increasing the wattage, so no extra heat is generated, meaning the bulb is safe to use with modern plastic lenses and is also fully road legal.
