Philips Rally H7 12V is designed for drivers who are looking for a high performance bulbs for off-road use only. The higher wattage of these lamps means that they have a shorter lifespan compared to standard bulbs, so they will need to be replaced more often. Furthermore, the increased wattage also generates more heat which can cause problems for vehicles with plastic lenses. For these reasons, we would recommend customers look to alternative products, such as Philips X-treme Vision, which will deliver more light on the road, without the complications of high wattage lamps.
You should choose Philips Rally H7 12V if you're looking for:
High wattage lamps have been around since the 1970s. They do a great job of providing more light, but this is at the expense of a significantly shorter lifespan compared to standard lamps. In addition, because they generate more heat, they pose a risk to plastic lenses and can result in the melting or discolouration of the headlight unit. This is why we generally advise customer's avoid high wattage lamps, as more modern products can deliver more light without these problems.
They are not road legal and you may need to modify your vehicle to prevent damage from the extra heat that is generated. For this reason, unless you know how to make sure modifications, we'd advise you look at another product.
These high wattage bulbs produce massive amounts of light which is needed for competition driving on closed circuits. These high wattage lamps do not comply with ECE Regulation 37 and as such should not be used on European Roads.
