The OSRAM Cool Blue Boost differs from other styling bulbs in the market, which offer a higher colour temperature via simply adding a blue coating to the bulb’s glass. Though this does create a whiter light, it often also makes the beams projection on the road slightly dimmer. The Cool Blue Boost remedies this problem by running at a higher wattage, allowing brighter, whiter light to be produced without losing extra vision on the road.

The 5000K colour temperature of the Cool Blue Boosts delivers a close colour match to factory-fitted Xenon HID bulbs, offering a crisp, bright white light with a slight blue tint.  

NOTE: At 80W these bulbs have a higher wattage than common halogens. As such, it is important that you ensure that your vehicle's headlight can sustain the increased heat that they generate before purchasing. Your vehicle's wiring has to be able to be rated for the higher current (~6.5A). Alternatively, if it is unclear, the bulb should be operated via a relay.
